The passive fire protection consists in integrating into the constructions (ceilings, walls, partitions, technical conducts etc.) Fire resistance systems which will limit the distribution of the fire (stationing).
Fire resistance systems do not require either water or energy or maintenance to be effective, once installed the systems remain active.
The 2 objectives of the passive fire protection are:
- Save lives, by allowing the occupants to evacuate the building safely.
- Protect the goods, by quartering the fire as long as possible, meanwhile the help comes.
